Frequently Asked Questions
Do you share a similar passion for vintage and retro clothing? Or perhaps you have your own indie fashion label and are interested in featuring it at the Parlor? Maybe you have recently moved a loved one into an assisted living facility and don’t know what to do with all of their fancy duds from yesteryear? Look no further, the Pretty Parlor is here.
Here’s the scoop: we are NOT open to buy/sell/trade from the public. HOWEVER, Miss Banana will be happy to set up an appointment with you if you have come into a situation leaving you with a fine collection of vintage clothing. We are currently interested in seasonal cocktail dresses, slips, separates, handbags, gloves, belts, shoes, hats, hankies, and costume jewelry. We ask that you snap a few pics and send them to us here. If we are interested and have the space, we will reach out to you to set up an appointment.
Sorry, we no longer offer consignment at this time.
Well, if we tell we’ll have to kill you. And we really don’t want to do that. Only kidding! Estate sales, thrift shops, grandmothers’ and grandfathers’ closets alike, trade shows, flea markets, and a pool of talented indie designers. We also carry a vast array of brand new goods from esteemed companies with good ethics.
Miss Banana and her mom Barb do their best to offer you the most comfortable and flattering fit possible. We offer small in-house tailoring for items purchased here. Prices and turn-around times are relative to schedule and workflow. We do not offer alteration services for garments purchased outside the Parlor. We suggest American Freestyle Alterations in the Seattle area for all your alteration needs.
We measure each garment with soft tape to get the Bust / Waist / Hip measurements. Here is a general size chart we have created to represent the majority of the sizes we carry.
